Kosher Kush originated as a clone-only OG Kush–based cut circulating in Los Angeles called "Jew Gold" before DNA Genetics stabilized it into seed form, renamed it, and entered it at the 2010 High Times Cannabis Cup — winning Best Indica back-to-back in 2010 and 2011. No other OG Kush–family strain has repeated the Best Indica category at the High Times Cannabis Cup in consecutive years.

The terpene profile is Myrcene-dominant with Limonene as a strong secondary, producing a loud gas-and-earth aroma with a sour-citrus back note — the OG Kush family signature, louder. Effects amplify the body-sedation half of OG Kush and minimize the cerebral-euphoric half: heavy couch-lock, minimal head component, reliable sleep at higher doses. At 22–29% THC it is one of the highest-potency and most body-dominant strains in the OG family. Night-use and experienced-consumer only.
